Traveling North on Highway 61
from Grand Marais, Minnesota.


From Grand Marais, travel north on Highway 61 for 18 miles.
(Following signs for Hovland, Grand Portage, & Canada.)

Turn right at the Hovland city limits sign onto
County Road 88 / Chicago Bay Road.

Continue to #4766 and our Chicago Bay Hideaway sign
on the Lake Superior side of the road.



Turn right into our driveway.

Your cottage is nestled into the woods
at the right side of our yard as you enter.

Tips:
  • We are five miles past the Brule River on Highway 61.
  • Our driveway is the last driveway on the right before the Flute Reed River bridge.

Traveling South on Highway 61
from the U.S. / Canadian Border.


From the Canadian / U.S. border,
travel south on Highway 61 for ~21.7 miles / 35 kms.
(Following signs for Grand Portage, Hovland, & Grand Marais.)
 
Turn left onto County Road 88 / Chicago Bay Road.
(Immediately before the Flutereed River Bridge.)
 
Continue about 0.4 miles / 0.6 kms to #4766 and our Chicago Bay Hideaway sign on the Lake Superior side of the road.



(Driving from this direction, you will not be able to see our sign until you turn onto the driveway as the sign faces south / southwest.)
 
Turn left into our driveway.
 
Your cottage is nestled into the woods
at the right side of our yard as you enter.
 
Tips:
  • Our driveway is the first driveway on the left after you cross the Flute Reed River bridge (on County Road 88).
